The celebration of Eid Al-Adha has seen Red Sea resorts in Hurghada gain a huge tourism boost, with many hotels reporting 100 percent occupancy.

The five-day holiday weekend has seen hundreds of tourists from around the globe visit Hurghada to join in the celebrations.

Ahmed Mustafa Daa, head of a branch at the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion said: “Hotel bookings in the south Red Sea resort of Hurghada have climbed noticeably compared to previous weeks and many were full by the second day.”

The news has excited tourism officials and property investors as the 100 percent occupancy levels proves people want to visit the country’s popular Red Sea resorts. The rise in tourists visiting Hurghada shows people now consider Egypt as a safe place to go on holiday.

The increase in visitors is a good indicator that the winter season will see thousands of tourists fly to Egypt’s Red Sea resorts for some winter sun and will contribute to the country’s growing economy.

Property investors are pleased hotels are back to being full like they were before the revolution and are confident Egypt has a bright future.

The high tourist figures have shown Egypt’s tourism board has successfully promoted the country as a great place to visit and it looks like Egypt is set to have a busy winter season.

The news has certainly boosted confidence in Egypt and the country can now start to enjoy the benefits of a stable and strong economy.

Neil Hollingsworth from Rivermead Global says this is great news, and it shows Egypt has started to overcome recent issues and proving it is one of the best places to be investing at the moment.  With property prices from as low as £6,300, almost 365 days a year sunshine and winter sun guaranteed, world class diving and some great golf courses with more under construction how can you not be drawn to this amazing country.  We have seen a huge rise in enquires and sales, this month alone we have already sold 6 properties and 3 furniture packages, and it is only the 9th day.

If you are looking for a new holiday destination it is worth having a look at Sunset Pearl Beach and Golf Apartments in Sahl Hasheesh, they opened too early last year and weren’t 100% ready for guests.  They are just reopening and although Sahl Hasheesh is quiet they have an on site Clubhouse with reception, lounge, bar, restaurant and mini-market, plus pool side bars and restaurant and only a 5 min walk to the beach and Old Town.
