Sisi wins Egyptian presidential election with ease

Former Army chief Abdel Fatah al-Sisi is reported to have won the latest Egyptian presidential election with over 90% of the votes, a huge victory and one that shows how united the Egyptian people are in getting behind Sisi and his promise of a positive change for Egypt.

This landslide victory, though impressive, came as no surprise. Ever since Sisi and the army overthrew Mr Morsi back in July, there has been wide spread support throughout the local and national media in Egypt for Sisi.

Garry Hubbard of Rivermead Global, lives in Egypt on a permanent basis and has already noticed a change.  “The mood seems to have lifted in Egypt since the election. There is a real sense of support for Sisi and optimism for the future of Egypt.”
